Sand Hills Beach Provincial Park

Sand Flats in early October

Sand Hills Beach Provincial Park, in Villagedale on the South Shore, offers a 2.5-km (1.5-mi) white-sand beach with change rooms and picnic tables. The sand flats warm up at low tide creating warm water for swimming. To protect the dunes, please keep to marked paths. Sand Hills is a popular birdwatching site.

White sand beach with a sand bar, so with an afternoon high tide you can actually swim in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean!
It also has some lovely green space for a break from the sand. Change facilities and washrooms on site.
